Since 2012, HubSpot Academy has been on a mission to “transform the way people and companies grow by offering free online training for the digital age. From quick, practical courses to comprehensive certifications, you’ll learn everything you need to know about cutting-edge business topics.”
As the HubSpot ecosystem continues to grow and evolve, the Academy has kept pace by introducing numerous high-quality courses and different credential types for individuals and partners alike.
Accreditations vs. Certifications
While HubSpot certifications are available for both individuals and organizations to obtain, accreditations are reserved for solutions partner organizations that support the success of HubSpot customers at the highest levels of quality, service, and strategic insight.
Let’s break down HubSpot’s two credential types:
Certifications are for individuals and tell the market what type of knowledge a person has.
HubSpot accreditations validate that partners that support the success of HubSpot customers at the highest levels of quality, service, and strategic insight.
Certifications can be obtained by both individuals and organizations. HubSpot offers generally available certifications, as well as ones available for partners and providers only.
accreditations can only be obtained by solution partners. In some cases, partners must be of a certain partner “tier” to apply.
Certifications help individuals advance their career by demonstrating expertise and credentials to validate their skill set. Companies can grow their business by honing skills taught in Academy courses.
Accreditations are only awarded to partners who demonstrate they have the expertise, capacity, and practical experience needed to serve customers with complex technical and business needs. This credential allows HubSpot to better connect partners with the right customers through our matching programs, like the Solution Partner Directory.
Individuals must take training and pass an assessment to demonstrate that they have learned the relevant material to a high degree of proficiency.
Accreditations are more rigorous than certifications — they have a set of prerequisites and often require practical application, like a role-play exercise.
Certifications are available on-demand and can be completed at any point in time.
Accreditations are time-bound. Partners must complete round 1 of the application process within a specific window set by HubSpot.
What is the HubSpot Platform Enablement Accreditation?
The HubSpot Platform Enablement Accreditation is a credential that validates the skills and strategic experience required to drive user adoption through delivering customized HubSpot training to large teams and facilitating change management.
In addition to product-specific knowledge, to earn this accreditation, partners need to prove aptitude in providing strategic and operational guidance, data-driven decision making, training design and classroom management.
